My parents are trying to send me to this extremely stupid camp, and it lasts 2 whole weeks. :( :eek: I HATED IT< FOR I WAS SENT TO IT LAST SUMMER!!! can you guys help me out on what i should say to make them change their mind?:confused: for the sake of my own sanity (yes, i have sanity:rolleyes: )

hehe, grit your teeth and bear it. When I was young I would have loved to go on a camp to get away from my parents - enjoy it while you can.

Hey listen this is what ya do! 1st day there take off all your clothes and smear peanut butter in and about the crack off your ****. Then walk over and show your counselor, when he ask's what that is, run your finger through the peanut butter and say "I dunno ??? but it sure as heck tastes great" I promise you'll be on the next bus home.

What type of camp is it?

How old are you? I ask because if you are over 15, tell your parents that you'll get a job instead of going to the camp and give them half your money. That will get you out from going to camp, but you gotta work.

its called YMA, a stupid music camp. i would be in stupid choir. i hate singing, when its coming from me:D just some kind of act that would make them fell sorry for me. its like going to prison, only i get to wear what i want.:(

Alternatively, watch American Pie series for some ideas. 13 is never to young :D you never know, you might meet some "interesting" people :D

Well you could fall sick an not go...... ;) (play in the rain,,eatin some food that make you sick....you know stuff like that)
then your parents cant send you to any camp if you fall sick...(only to the doctors) ;)

LOL...yeah, and directly into a psychiatric unit. Potatoe, have you ever told your parents point blank that you have no interest in singing in a choir? Well, if you really don't want to lie about it, try getting yourself involved into a hobby (besides playing video games). Develop something on your box, using progs like Flash, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Photoshop, Visual C++ and request learning materials like the "Classroom in a book" series. Show them that there's more significance in allowing you to pursue productive hobbies that YOU enjoy. Well, you may or may not like to use those programs, but I'm sure you get my drift. ;)

2 Weeks sounds like a long time, but it will flash by and you will meet old friends, and make new pardners!!
Believe it or not, I wish I would have had your problem.
Start a singing group, Make a CD. Have fun now!!

Actually it did'nt take that long at all couch tater!!!
My brain is so twisted that was actually the 1st thought that came to mind, as i read it years back in a book called "1001 ways to beat the draft".
And theres nothing wrong with spending some time on a flight deck (psychiatric unit) My motto has always been "insanity is the spice of life" hmm or was it " never bend over in the high school shower" well one of those or both work. :r

Ive heard of fat camp,baseball camp,soccor camp ect. but never extremely stupid camp, whats this world coming to.........kidding...I went when I was young and Ill never forget it it was a good experience, youll look back on it and be glad yo went

CouchPotato, we all have to do things that we don't want to do sometimes. I'm going through some stuff that I don't want to go through, but I know that it'll help me out in the end. Just go to the camp, do your two weeks and come back home.

Besides, something good might happen this year. You've never know if you don't go.

Sprouts, all you need is Sprouts.

Get 2 chairs, wooden ones if you can, and nail then legs to the floor, just for security.
Now get 5 rolls of sticky tape and 2 cotton hankerchiefs. Put the 2 accused onto the chairs and tape them down (note a few good firm slaps may be in order to control the whailing limbs as this process is carried out). Use the hankerchiefs to stop them from screaming out.

Go get the sprouts and cook them till they SCHTINKZ !!!!

Now stand precisely 3 metres away from them and pelt SCHTINKY sprouts at them, whilst reciting 'I shal I shal I shal not be camped, I shal I shal I shal not be camped, I shal I shal I shal not be camped.........'

If this doesn't make them see how much you DONT want to go, nothign will. Come on they must understand your grief if you go to the lengths of preparing sprouts which SCTHINK !

ive already seen that movie. yes, its suprising, but this isn't band camp. its go- to-sing-and-be-surrounded-by-idiots-for-two-weeks camp. :(

ahh making excuses was always fun..

why should he go to camp if he doesnt want to?

1. dont use the "im homesick" excuse because usually parents will suggest that you are too attached to home and you need time apart etc

2. job - you can tell them you want to make some extra money by getting a job at the supermarket etc (u dont have to its just an excuse :))

3. girlfriend - you can tell them you want to be with your girlfriend this summer (or imaginary one? :P) and you promised you would spend your ENTIRE summer with her :P

4. grandparents/relatives - tell them you promised your grandparents or someone else you would spend time with them that weekend

5. other plans - tell them that you bought tickets or you want to go to some festival/concert/carnival etc and it's taking place only a few days that week.

:t one of those should convince them heh
