I want some of these to play games at night without long cables but I think they are too expensive to buy.

Does anyone know where on the net I could find some circuit diagrams on how to build a set of infra-red headphones myself (im interested in how the audio signal would be modulated correctly without losing too much quality going analogue to digital)

How many people on this board use AOL?

Thanks but I wanted to find somewhere that shows how to build them from component level so I can have a go at making them myself without having to pay much at all.

Anymore ideas?

I've played with electronics since the "HeathKit" days.

With very few exceptins, you can buy ready built cheaper and with better quality..

but if you insist, here's a few sites that may have some-->>

a lot of the ir headsets, which i have found are kits or complete sets. None of them seem to have plans or circuit diagrams.
I will keep on looking, thanks for the links.

I did some searching too. Simple ON/OFF kits cost around $20. The additional parts to ship audio are going to cost more than a $25 "gamer's favorite" unit I saw.

I agree with DrVette.
