I am looking for some advice on building a system for a local rural township, consisting of a small payroll and some land records. I don't expect information to be backed up on a regular basis. Is it possible to secure this system against a fatal memory loss, for instance a HD failure?

I always look the users right in the eye and tell them to imagin what it would be like to Rekey punch 8 months of stuff in time for next weeks reports....

You could setup and automatic copy of data folders to another hdd on the pc.

Appreciate what you're saying Steve, but I suspect they will look me right back in the eye and say "OK, I'll backup" and then within a week simply stop.
I like the idea about another hard drive and I would have no problem installing it, but I'm at a loss on how to set it up to write two hard drives at the same time, for instance a Word document. Any help on this?
