Legal only if the o/s is NOT installed on any other computer at the time of the sale.

O/S software is legal to install on only one computer at the time..

MS of course has expounded on this, but this is the boiled down version..

To be a legal OEM sell you will need to also include the HARDWARE that should have been bought with it. (HD or Motherboard or complete system). This is the only way that OEM software is legal to be sold.

*All Microsoft, & Corel Products(Software & Hardware) are OEM & they're sold with a computer system, and / or a hard drive and or Motherboard. NO EXCEPTIONS
This is from a local company that I have used to get items from when I needed it quickly and I was out of stock.

That's quite scary,
I always thought the software license was independent of the hardware.

All the best, Justy.

This is for systems that came with a MS product pre-loaded as I read it.

MS is full of ***** if they think folks are gonna abide by this ridiculous agreement.

As long as you don't duplicate their stuff, I doubt any court world hear a case of transfer, IMHO..

KKF,

To LEGALLY buy a OEM version of software it MUST be "bundled" with either a Complete system OR with certain componants of a system...IE: Hard drive or Motherboard.

That is why it is silkscreened on the front of a OEM cd "For Distibution with a new pc....."
