How do I remove network places?

I know this sounds strange but I managed to add a few network places on my computer that I would like to remove. I havetwo computers networked but one computer has three names. Is there anyway of removing these extra ones?

Have a look in Control Panel >Network?

I think it fixed itself. When the problem occurred, for the life of me I couldn't get rid of the extra network places. I rebooted a couple of times and they were still there.
I turned on the computer the following day and everything was normal again.
Very odd.
