I'm using frontpage 2000 (for its web publishing capabilities) for my website (http://www.theinnerweb.com)
I'm trying to figure out how to password protect a directory. Basically I want a section of my website to have information (how to get to a party for example) that I only want people with a username/password to see.
Thanks!

Are you hosting this website yourself? If so, what are you using to do so?
If your not hosting it yourself, check with your server admin. Most commerical webhosts will have something setup such as htpasswd. For the time being I'm using Netmegs.com, and from their website I can find all of the information I need.
I wouldn't recommend resorting to java or cgi password protectors, the file they use to store passwords can be read by anyone.

Another possibility would be to email the people that you want to access only the name of the html page that would link on your web.
For example www.theinnerweb.com/privateparty. (http://www.theinnerweb.com/privateparty.)
Then I would change it everytime if need be, depending on topic etc..
That would be something I would do.
