Can ATA33/66 Co-exist?

Well I have an old HD that is ATA 33 I am going to put it in my computer on IDE 1 with my ATA 66 HD if I put the ATA 33 drive on the same channel as the ATA 66 will it slow my ATA 66 drive to ATA33?

Should only really slow it down if you are trying to use both drives at the same time - such as copying from one drive to the other.

I would definately keep the fast drive as master.
