How do you turn off that annoying dialog box that aks you if you want to play a cd etc.....in windows xp pro whenever you insert a new cd?? Thanx Dragonjucr 05-31-2002, 08:57 AM In that dialog there should be an option for "Do nothing" with a red circle with a line though it - select that option, and in the lower (left hand..I think) portion of the dialog there should be a checkbox for "Always perform this action". And it seems xp remembers that setting for particular CDs So it still comes out if I insert a different data CD (I have 3 cd-rom drives so the dialog box is kinda annoying when I know exactly what I want to do) Besides it kinda slows things down when auto-reading...:) Thanks a lot.... username 06-01-2002, 03:04 AM Start; run; type gpedit.msc.
