In that dialog there should be an option for "Do nothing" with a red circle with a line though it - select that option, and in the lower (left hand..I think) portion of the dialog there should be a checkbox for "Always perform this action".

See if that helps...

Is there any way to turn off the whole detection service??
Sometimes that checkbox doesn't appear.....
And it seems xp remembers that setting for particular CDs
So it still comes out if I insert a different data CD
(I have 3 cd-rom drives so the dialog box is kinda annoying when I know exactly what I want to do)
Besides it kinda slows things down when auto-reading...:)

Thanks a lot....

Start; run; type gpedit.msc. Under Computer configuration; Administrative template, click on System and in right pane configure Turn off autoplay.

You can also setup each drive right here, you have to do it for each drive and type individually:)
