does anyone have any experience with norton ghost? how do i go about copying on hd to another hd? do i set the one with all the data as master and then the second empty one as slave? please help?
thanks,
andre.
I haven't used Ghost, but other similar utilities require only that the drives be active and recognized by the system.
Both can be Masters but on separate IDE channels, or Master and Slave on the same channel. Or ... .
Yep, that's all you have to to for the HDD setup. Just have the one of the HDD for Master and the other for Slave.
As for doing the disk cloning. Just select "Disk to Disk" and then select "Clone". It will show you a list of HDD's and you just have to select the the HDD for the the "Source" and then you will be ask to selct the "Destination"
Note: It does't matter if you have the Source disk as Master or Slave.. You will be able to select the Source and Destination by either setup.
