----Hey everyone, long time no see---

-Anways i was wondering what IQ each and every one of you have.

-IQ: the ratio of tested mental age to chronological age, usually expressed as a quotient multiplied by 100.

Iam 14 and my IQ is 166. This is no gimmick, because I took at school.
The average Intelligence quotient is 80-115
Above average is around 115-125
Gifted person is 125-135
Genius: 141-164
High Genius: 166-180
etc,etc,etc.....

gtg, see you later

IQ uses raw data, usually based on atypical western ideas and takes no account of different racial cultures, backgrounds etc. IQ tests are a conveiniant method for Ed Psych's et al to label an individual. They usually take little account of spatial awareness and would, for instance make glaring errors in measuring the genius of, say, an artist, whereas a mathematician would fare better because IQ would test their ability to rationalise.

I deal with children who often fall well below the average levels. Many record scores below 80. One boy had an IQ level of 69 and had been diagnosed as being dysphasic. During his time with us we discovered rare talents and although he could barely communicate verbally left our institution, at 16, with the highest levels at GCSE (A*'s) in several subjects and has gone onto study computer science at advanced level. Finally, had someone looked at the great 'thinker' Steven Hawkin and said, well he's almost completely disabled so there's no point in even applying an IQ test, then we would have lost to science one of the formost thinkers on the planet.

Enough said.

Incidently I failed my 11+ in 1965. It was basically a simplified IQ test. I was ill on that day - my mother told me recently - but I still sat it. According to the result my IQ had fallen below 90 on that day and the result had enormous impact on my education.

I don't care what my IQ is. It is just another form of saying I'm better than you and as far as I'm concerned I treat all as equals.

I believe Mr. Hawking's ailments are attributed to injuries sustained whist at college.

It is not actually his intelligence which is so remakable but
rather the spirit and nature of the man.

I was the same age as you, and my IQ was rated 160, and it means very little. IQ is your ability to learn, so what do you want to learn? First I would say, read everything, soda cans, newspapers, dictionaries, encyclopedias, your whole local library... and then, what will you do with this knowledege once you have reached what you, yourself, consider to be the limit? Is it useful to anyone, and I don't mean in a commercial fashion, but does your intelligence and informed knowledge benefit humanity, or even your local populace? One thing IQ tests don't measure is your ability to deal with the people in your society, and that is a very important point because no matter how smart you (or I am) without being able to co-exist with the others in our society we cannot accomplish anything of lasting or enduring good. Also remember the age old saying 'it is better to be lucky than smart'

I rarely post, but I feel your pain.... as it is mine also...

High IQ does not = Good Common sense
Positive Attitude
Strong Willpower
or Strong communication skills

You can have a high IQ and still be stupid.

Actuallly.....

Your *I will* is more important that your *IQ*

IQ is just the measure of your learning capability and it gives you an idea at what level of intelligence your at...this does not include your socialistic skills...

When Einstein was a kid he was a the lowest achiever in his class,,, but then 20 years later he becomes the greatest thinker of the twentieth century...
It is quite ironic to see some dumbA@# to achieve so much...

Anyways the main point of this lesson is: do not be put down by some score you achieved on a paper,, just try hard and be determined at what you *WANT to achieve...

Worst part about it was after I was sent off to liu to be studied like some friggin alien, my entire family expected nothing short of the coming of the messiah from me. But I showed them. I became a deranged drug addict instead. Stayed drugged up on legal and illegal substances till I was 26. Been sober 16 years now. Boy I sure showed them LOL.
