I have Windows XP Home version and I am wanting to host an ASP website. Does IIS or Personal Webserver come with Windows? Is IIS and Personal Webserver compatible with Windows XP home version?
If I can't use these web servers with my operating system, what other software is compatible?
Not compatible, you'll need XP Pro if you really want IIS. As an alternative, try Apache.

I wouldn't use XP Pro either. You will be limited to 10 simultaneous connections (just like Win2K Pro). You are better off with Apache or Win2K server with IIS. IIS is installed by default on Win2K server. :D

I checked out apache, but it doesn't run ASP pages. Is there an addon or some third party software to do that? Something that's cheap. I'm just a home user.
