Win XP Pro TaskBar Vanished???

All of a sudden my Taskbar/Startbar is gone...I don't know what I did. I tried to get it back....Ctrl/Esc, etc. Any suggestions?

I take it pushing the Windows key on your keyboard doen't pop up the taskbar either? Have you tried lowering your resolution in the event maybe it's been pushed off the bottom of your screen?

The windows button does bring it up, not the Start button thought. However, I'm just curious why it's gone to begin with? I tried changing the size of my screen to see if I sized it out, but I didn't.

See if you've got the task bar set on "auto hide" in Start, Settings, Taskbar, Taskbar options. Uncheck "Auto hide", Lock the Taskbar and check "Always on top." To get the bar back scroll around the toolbar until the mouse pointer splits into two arrows and drag downwards.

It's been set to your specs Bipolarbill. I finally got it back...I don't know how..except now it's on the right side of my screen rather than on the bottom...I think what caused it: I pushed F11 to get the full screen effect and when I went back to the framed setting my taskbar dissapeared.

Right-click the taskbar and de-select Lock the Taskbar. Now put the pointer in a blank area of the taskbar (inside - to the right of the edge) and drag it to the botton center of the screen. Now lock it.
