I have a GF2 MX200 in one of my older backups. Surprisingly, this Visiontek version has pretty good 2d which is the only reason why I haven't trashed this card.

The GF2 MX200 is about as crappy as the GeForce series can get. It's barely faster than a TNT2u in benchmarks and games actually run worse thanks to a castrated memory pipe of 64bit vice 128bit. I'm not at all surprised the V3 can beat it out in some games.

1. Pretty much looks like you did :(
2. Try official v28.32 from nVIDIA's site, most people (including me) are very pleased with them.

A much better option for just a few $ more is the Visiontek Geforce 2 GTS-V for $53 shipped from newegg (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&catalog=48&manufactory=1180&DEPA=1) If you could unload your old card, I guarantee the GTS-V will seriously outperform your old voodoo card, even a voodoo 5! It comes clocked standard at 175 core, 286 memory, but most overclock nicely to standard gts numbers of 200/333. Can't beat them for the price. Stay far away from the Geforce 2 MX 200 and for that matter the geforce 4 MX 420. Both are seriously crippled memory bandwidth wise, and are only a pale reflection of their similarly named brethren.

No NO
A geforce 2 ti is a lot better and only for 60$...

Yep, the MX200 only has SDRAM and 64bit memory bus. The GeForce2's were always limited by memory bandwidth, and the MX200 memory setup just chokes the GPU. The step up to the MX400 is definitely worth it. You get a 128bit memory bus and faster memory. The memory spec for the MX400 cards is still the same 166MHz as the original MX cards, but the memory chips are faster and can usually be OC'd to over 200MHz (I've seen reviews with MX400 cards that had 3.5ns memory chips - which translates into 240+MHz!).

Really? Including shipping? I saw a 64 MB GF2Ti listed on pricewatch at compuplus for $59 but the shipping was $14.95. Still a very good deal, but not $53 shipped. I figured PimpG420 was "budget constrained" or why would he have bought a Geforce 2 MX 200 in the first place? And yes, a Geforce 2 Ti is better than the GTS-V, but at a 50% higher price once you figure in shipping.
