NDC 01-13-2001, 03:16 AM I've burned Playstation 1 games... It didn't work using Adaptec Easy Cd Creator, but worked perfectly using Disk Juggler. scotter 01-13-2001, 03:30 AM get a copy of cloneCD it will burn anything http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif and you will need a mod chip from what I have read http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif scotter 01-13-2001, 03:30 AM get a copy of cloneCD it will burn anything http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif and you will need a mod chip from what I have read http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif skai 01-13-2001, 03:53 AM Adaptec easy cd creater will burn them using the disk copy option, you will need a mod chip, skai Rat 01-13-2001, 10:47 AM Ok, thanks. The next obvious question is, where can I obtain a mod chip? Rat... Szech 01-13-2001, 01:07 PM Here's a link you should find helpful: www.psxcopyworld.com (http://www.psxcopyworld.com) crazyray 01-13-2001, 02:33 PM If you have a copy of Prassi CD Right!, it will work for this purpose very well, assuming you have a compatible burner. I have heard that the more recent versions of Playstation are more difficult to place the mod-chip in. The most popular program for backing up these games is CDRWin from www.goldenhawk.com (http://www.goldenhawk.com) I have heard you can use their trial version for this purpose, as you will be burning at 1X anyway. I do not know how to properly configure CDRWin for backups. Time for a search... Techie Dude 01-13-2001, 05:48 PM How about: www.modchip.com (http://www.modchip.com) Yes, you need to chip the Playstation. CD`s that you`ve burned should work fine. If it`s a PAL game and not a NTSC game, you will needs a fully connected RGB scart lead cable too. "MOST" games will copy! This is for your personal use isn`t it? On seconds thoughts, don`t answer that! LOL! TD. crazyray 01-13-2001, 06:02 PM BTW, use of the mod chip will let you play games from other regions. Rat 01-13-2001, 06:05 PM Yes, it is for personal use; gots nephews and nieces who like to use my PS when theyr'e here. the rest is obvious. I see that soldering will be part of the install, I think I wil use a IC socket so I won't have to solder directly to the IC as Modchip.com says to do. Looks pretty easy to do, and the chips seem inexpensive. Thanks everyone. Rat... SysOpt.com
