How long does a 300W PS last?

I'm just wondering if it is worth it to get an "AMD-Approved" power supply if its going to cost a premium. If PS's don't last that long, then I probably wouldn't do it, however, if they can go more than 5 years, that is great.

Heaven only knows where computer will be five years from now. Do you need a new power supply? If so, yes getting one approved for your processor would be a good idea.
