im running ME just now, but i am soon going to upgrade to XP. was just wondering how i can format my hard drive on this. i have no start up disks, as i lost them. or didnt get them. i want to get rid of me alltogether and start fresh with xp. was having a look in the control panel biyt and couldnt see anywhere i can make up start up disks like i do in NT, any help lads would be great. cheers, wullie.

You can just boot from the CD if you like. XP Setup is very powerful and can format, delete and create partitions.

You can use an ME setup disk too. Just add SMARTDRV.EXE to the floppy or put it on another. You can get SMARTDRV.EXE from a Win98 setup or CD. When you boot up with the ME startup disk, the first command to run will be SMARTDRV.EXE from wherever you placed it. Next, navigate to the i386 folder on the XP CD and run WINNT.EXE. Setup should start.
