Yeah..thanks, I did...checked bios and power management is enabled.
Basic thing is all I did was reformat the c drive to install win98...so Cant be problem w/ BIOS too old can it?

also...alot of ppl seems to have problem w/ infinia's sleeping habits...
www.computingforum.com (http://www.computingforum.com) 5 archives worth of infinia ****. Seems like I should have visited site b4 buying comp.

I also read that WIN98 has problems w/ sleep buttons....fixed in SE?

Yeah.. in general windows and hardware manufacturers still haven't got power management to work silky smooth; across the board, with all these different system configurations.

I mean a Bios update may help but..???..you know.

You could try letting just windows take care of the managment and see how that works. I know some people who actually have it working okay, but then again, seems like the majority doesn't...

First, the first big bug found in WIN98 SE (aprox 1 hour after release), was a nice big, huge crash in many systems when they tried to go into sleep mode. Why bother with sleep mode? Boaring, it is called a continuous burnin! I turn my computer off to change parts and to modify parts. Other than that, it stays on.
