Running win98, IE5
visited a site which I shouldn't have............ now every time I turn on the puter and get online with IE5 this site changes my home page (not nice). Using Tools and changing it back to the default home page only works in that session, once puter is turned off and on that pesky site changes my home page back again. Help please. I've checked regedit looking for a reference to that site but can find no sign of it, it's well hidden, Thanks, Les
 ;)

Look for a new hidden startup program in MSCONFIG. That program probably changes the home page each time you restart.

You can go to www.downloads.com and search for a program called ad-ware that should remove that type of annoyance. I know that sites like lop.com are infamous for this type of ignorance also and you actually have to go to their site and download an uninstall proggie.

I bet you just visited it by accident, right? ;)

Try window washer also. It removes temp files/temp internet files/cookies/IE history bar and other items. You can get a thirty day free trail.
