I am getting a video card that requires a 2.0 compliant AGP slot , my TyanS1590S says that it has an x2 AGP slot... is my new card going to fit?? If not, can I find a motherboard that has the 2.0 slot AND will support my AMD K6II 500 socket 7?? I can't find and mo' boards on the net that take a socket 7!! HELP!!

1.0, 2.0 are revisions of the AGP specification. 2.0 brought us the 4x transfer speed, and a higher power budget.

To run an AGP 2.0 card in an AGP 1.0 board, you need to make sure the card is "universal" (as opposed to 4x-only), and you must not choose high performance cards that exceed the power budget of AGP 1.0.
