Commandos 2 - crash to desktop

Anyone else had problems with Commandos 2 crashing mid game? Every other game I have works fine so I'm thinking that the game might be buggy.
My system:
p3 500
256mb ram
riva tnt2 ultra 32mb vid (23.11 drivers)
SB live value
about 8gig spare on a 20gig samsung drive
Directx 8.1
Other peripheral devices with late version drivers
Windows 2000 pro.

I don't have a hell of alot installed in the way of applications, just a few large games, 3d software and the ms office 97 pack. I don't know if there is a conflict happening somewhere.

If anyone has had similar problems and solved it post here. Maybe there is a patch I need?

I also have commandos 2..
M system is almost like yours no problems at all. The game is not buggy.

Try and update your video driver. You are using an old driver.

hehe, I updated recently to the 23.12 drivers which caused alot of problems (don't really know why). I saw a CD that has the latest drivers at the newsagents, perhaps I'll pick it up. Thanks for the reply.

Yes, you're right ! The game has a minor problem , it's not the problem of driver , it's happens when a big explosion occur but luckily , this problem is not happens always , and I found the Creative's card family has problem with it !!! My geforce 256 does the same way with you guys. :p

Try to download any patch for Commandos 2 may be there are some bug fixers around

Thanks guys, I'll try some new drivers. Its a **** hard game! took me a few goes to even get past the first few levels. Harder than the first one!
