Hello.
I've got the following system specs:
Mobo: Gigabyte 7ZM kt133
Duron 1.2Ghz (12*100)
MSI Geforce2Ti 261/460 ... drivers: 28.83
384 SDRAM (cas3)
The best I could do on 3D mark 2001 was 4000.
When I look at review sites and other people's score, they seem much higher. What am i doing wrong?
Thanks for your help.

That seems okay to me. You would find that you get a fair bit higher if you had a ddr mb and ram, but with your current setup, that is about what you could expect.

That seems just a bit low to me, make sure AGP 4x and AGP FastWrites are enabled in the BIOS.

Be sure you've turned VSync OFF. Use RivaTuner (http://www.nvworld.ru/downloads/rivatuner.zip) to fine-tune your card.

I get about 4200 points with my geforce 2 ti 450 and 1.2 ghz t-bird.

yup, got that done already.
Excuse my -what!you didn't you?!- question but, what is Vsync.
I have MSI's overclocking, advance settings program that came along with the card. Under vertical sync, i just changed it to 'always off'

I have to agree with uncle_jimbo. Those scores for 3dMark2001SE are a bit low for your machine, but I will say that 3dMark is heavily dependent on your video card. You'll probably increase your score by ~2000 marks by getting a GeForce 3 card. Heh which brings me to my scores, I've got an overclocked Morgan 1G@1.241 with a GeForce 3 classic and I get 6325.
I also noticed that your fsb seems to be at 100 which really doesn't take advantage of your mobo higher memory bandwidth.

If vsync is enabled, it prevents your video card from achieving framerates higher than the refresh rate of your monitor at a particular resolution. For instance, if your monitor's refresh rate is set to 70, than your videocard will never go higher than this because vsync is enabled. This is why people tell you to turn disable it. Hope this helps.

i've disabled vsync. but my results are still about the same. Is my kt133 mobo holding me back a bit?

Looks "about" right to me could be a little higher with some fine tuning as stated above.
