Hi there,
I'm currently in the market for buying a new CD-R for my pc. It has in it at the moment, a broken panasonic 8x4 scsi(only working as 8x read SCSI), and i am not sure if i should buy an IDE drive or another SCSI drive.
I know that back in the good 'ole days, IDE burners were a risk, but surely now the IDE technology has caught up a bit?????
I allready have a SCSI card, so that cuts out part of the initial expense if I go with SCSI, but I want to be able to take it out, as my pc can run perfectly stable at 133fsb, but the SCSI card won't go past 112.
So you see, I only really wan't to go with SCSI if there is a largely noticeable advantage over IDE......also if anyone could reccomend a (few???) decent mid range drives, t'would be great.
cheers,
