hey, maybe a stupid question...but hey...

What do i do about my IO cover plates. When I buy a case do i need to get one that will match, or what? I didn't even think about it untill i was looking for cases and they said to pick out which one you needed. I know most of you probably don't even have one on but...you know. I'd just like to know. Can i find out what i need without buying my mobo, or are they all universal or what?

almost all after market cases come with removable I/O plates and come with 2 or 3 diff styles of plates the only thing you have to know is if your using AT or ATX and that is a not a issue with new boards as almost all new boards are ATX http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

so it's pretty much universal then right? I'm supposing they include ones with build in sound and video, or without. And that kinda thing right?

ok, question answered, thanks

for the most part yes but you should still check to make sure
the first thing is to pic a board then deside on what case to match that board
is it a AT or ATX mobo does it have onboard sound, video ? then make sure the case you get has the extra I/O plates as needed
