Hi I have a problem with a Windows 2000 Terminal Server computer that when the server is shut down and restarted, all the Windows 98 workstations come up with the message box Microsoft Networking - "No Domain Server was available to validate your password. You may not be able to gain access to some network resources".
After approximately 1 hour this message disappears and the normal logon happens. This happens on all the workstations. Could it be a time synchronisation problem? W32time?
Any ideas????????
Thanks Glenn

I would increase or decrease the DNS replication/refresh time. It's probably set to 1 hour. You're falling out of the "window".

I would also stabilize that server - or use fault tolerance.

If you're using DHCP, I recommend fixed IPs and routing tables for stability.
