That HDD controler is great!:) Wickedly fast and no of data loss if one drive fails. Two prob. I see though. A: that one is on a pci card. The intergrated mobo ones are gonna be way better performers due to the pci bus limitation and add in cards fighting for bandwidth. B: it takes four- five drives. More of a server setup or one into big files like media and graphics. But it looks like a IDE attempt into the lower end server market. Hot swap and auto 5th drive are perfect for that! Great card for one in that area but the presence will still probably be little in the home, for less than all those drives a avg. user would be better off just getting a single SCSI hdd.:)
