how do I turn off the these two buttons to the left of the minimize button?

I don't think you can get rid of just those 2 buttons, you have to disable the ATI Taskbar entirely. To do that go to: Display properties/settings/advanced/Ati Options, then disable "Ati Taskbar icon App.

If I remember correctly it's for Hydravision. I think if you disable Hydravision, the button may go away. If you have the ATI icon in your systray, you can right click it and disable it there I think. Otherwise go to display properties/settings/advanced I think.

yeah those buttons are for hydravision... get rid of that and the buttons will go away
