I put my 128MB PC133 bought from ParadisePC and used Sisoft Sandra on it.

Xerox brand? It's actually got Micron chips on the stick... but what's this about Xerox? Will it be okay? I'm not planning to overclock anyway.

I found Sandra to report about everything else correctly. It's not a big deal as long as nobody responds to this thread saying Xerox makes cheap-o RAM with fake Micron chips embedded and won't run at the advertised 133Mhz. I think I'm safe... but I was thinking about ordering another 128MB PC133 from ParadisePC before noticing this... I may still do it as long as nobody puts Xerox down... it's the chips that are most important right?

Right on Roy http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif Mine's a Wang as well. Sandra makes alot of mistakes. My understanding of memory is that there's only a few makers (Mosel Vitelic, Micron, Hyundai etc.)of the "Chips" and that they are sold to various companies who assemble them into sticks and then "They", Xerox or whoever put their name on them.

Dunno if Xerox makes memory, but both my sticks have Micron chips on them and Sandra says they are Texas Instruments and Micron. Both sticks are no name and the Micron one was sold to me as Kingston Generic. The TI stick came with the 'puter.

I bought my memory from the same source and saw this in Sandra too. Maybe we should give them a call.

If you have to call someone, call SiSoft!

Sandra often misreports things.

My MSI mobo system is identified as "Wang"!

Oh well, what can you expect from a guy named Sandra? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
