You can do it through the configuration settings on your router. You didn't mention what model you have. I have a Linksys BEFSR41. Hopefully you still have the manual that came with the router. That will tell you for sure.

If by chance you have a model similar to mine, type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar at the top of your web browser. A screen will pop up asking for username and password. Leave username blank and type "admin" for the password. Now you are in the configuration screen. Click the yellow "advanced" tab in the top right corner. This brings you to the filter screen. If it doesn't, look for a tab called "Filter" - that's where you need to be. Type the last number of the IP address of your daughter's computer into both of the top 2 boxes ie if her address is 192.168.1.100 it will look like 192.168.1.100 ~ 100 . It's set up to allow a range of addresses but since you only need to filter one, the same one gets typed in for the high and the low of the range. Click apply and that's it - your first problem is solved but now your daughter will be furious! You will definitely need a different newsgroup for that one :) If you're not sure how to get the IP address of your daughters computer - get on her computer - hit start - run - and type cmd in the run box. Then at the prompt type "ipconfig". That will give you the IP address of her computer.

P.S. you may or may not need to restart the computers and unplug the router and plug it back in for the settings to take. I don't think so but maybe. Hope this helps. If not, let us know :)
