i just build my new computer about a month ago (asus a7v motherboard, hercules geforce 2 video card, 256 mb ram) and my screen has been freezing alot (more than usual) and i have no choice but to reboot. could i have done something wrong when i built it to make this happen? and is rebooting it (not properly) going to have any bad effects on it? thx

Have you installed the latest updates for your video card?? Plus what operating system you running?? When you say its been freezing would you be playing a game or just regular work on it?? Have you d/led all the updates for your operating system too??

Does your Device Manager show any cnoflicts? Is there a pattern such as it happens every 10 mins or it freezes only in certain programs? Have you tried using the three finger salute to close the proggy your'e in when it freezes (Ctrl+Alt+Del)?
