Remote Control for a PC????

How lazy am I? I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a product that is a Remote Control for a PC(I'm talking about a remote like a TV remote). Or possibly how difficult it would be to make a device like this. My computer runs everything for me...my sound system, my TV, my DVD and my internet. All of the devices I have that do this things have remote controls..so I want one for my PC! I know there are MP3 remotes to run winamp but I was thinking of something that might have like a track ball or little joystick(like an N64 controller) to move the cursor around, a volume controller, and maybe some function buttons? AM I ASKING TOO MUCH? I think It might be a niffty gadget to come up with

I saw a remote with a track ball at a pc show about 7-8 yrs ago. It was being sold as a tool for lectures or business meetings where the speaker could use a type of projector to project the pc display up onto a screen or wall and stand at the back of the room out of the way. It just looked like an odd shaped wireless mouse (in fact the more I think of it, it probably was just a wireless mouse in the shape of a cylinder). It wasnt a remote in the sense of a TV/VCR remote - I dont think it could turn the system off but it seemed like a good idea at the time.
I cant remember who made it but I'm sure the technology has got better in those years. (or maybe dropped, who knows?)
It doesnt sound too crazy, why not have a pc remote - its just another electrical tool to sit in the lounge room like the tv, vcr etc. U would have to use voice recognition I guess if u wanted to 'type' a letter while lounging around.

Had a Mac a couple years ago that had an infra red sensor on it with a TV-like remote, it was very convenient as it also had the TV/video system built in, only problem with it was my neighbors TV remote would occasionaly turn the darn thing on from about 25' away, took awhile to figure out why my PC was powering on by itself...

Stuff like that do exsist - here en denmark i can get a remotecontrol for winamp, which wont help you much since it is for the entire system.

Look long/hard enough and you will find one.

I picked up a cheap wireless keyboard with a built in mouse...it will work for now. I will still be on the lookout for a remote though!
