Is there a way to get into your computers startup files, it takes forever for windows to load on my comp and I want to speed it up.

I seem to remember downlading a program on my comp a while back that checks your startup, and tell you what is faulty and what can be eliminated. Am I remembering right, or is this all just a big dream?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Start|Run|msconfig|Startup. Uncheck what you don't want/need.

You may be thinking of a program called startup cop. I think that was the name, but MSCONFIG (as above) will do the same. Startup cop claims that it finds things that win won't, but I think most of us here just use the win prog.

Good Luck,
