I have a card based on the i815EPT chipset. The model is MSI MS6337LE5. BIOS ID=07/02/2001-i815EP-W83627-6A69RM4LC-00.
The maximum FSB speed here is limited to 166MHz. But I successfully tried 183MHz using CPUFSB soft. I don't want to run this software every time my Windows runs.
So, I need to mod my BIOS (I think, maybe, changing the maximum frequency available) in such way, that it will not be limited to 166MHz. Newer BIOS versions don't help.
Anyone knows how to do this?

Regards, Kurylo.

Get the source code, add what you want to add, recompile and there you are. Of course this is entirely impossible if you don't work for the board's manufacturer, since you need both the BIOS source code and the board's schematics for your modification to make sense.

I'm not an MSI BIOS technician, and I have no any source code. Anyways, if I will get them I'd try to understand (I hope it is an ASM?) what do they do and find the point, which I do need.
The only question: how do I get this soutce code?
Where I should DL it? Or maybe I will save my BIOS and decompile it? What program will decompile the BIOS file then?

Thanx beforehand, Kurylo.
