What does everyone thing? Is DDR worth the cost at this point? A friend used this and hasn't had any real problems yet.

How much your friend paid for this mobo+ddr memory ?! And where did he found ddr memory ?
I read that performance increase shouldn't be more than 10%, so what he got ?

I didn't ask for a specific price, but he said it wasn't too bad really. He's got the money to do it though, so it wasn't a problem. I think i found the mobo for abour $200. I didn't look for the RAM, but he got 128 MB of it. I don't know where he found the mem. You should be able to find some on the internet without too much problems.

Finding DDR SDRAM online is not really a problem, but ... DDR memory is now priced almost as high as RDRAM, and I don't see a reason for buying such an expensive memory if I not gonna have enought performance boost for the extra money I pay. Nowdays, I'd rather spend the same money on double or even triple amount of SDR SDRAM ...
Besides, in just few weeks, depends where do you live, gonna be available mobos which gonna support both kinds of SDRAM, SDR/DDR, so I believe it's the right choice ...

Best Regards ...

Get your DDR memory here. (http://www.crucial.com/index.asp?module=184%2Dpin+DIMM) This is only DDR PC1600 ram not the PC2100. You can get some engineering samples of the pc2100 here (http://www.crucial.com/store/evaluate_ddr.asp) but I heard they would be sold out until March.
