Is this board any good?


Any opinions most gratefully accepted.

Although I have not used it, I am planning on building my nephew a pc using this board from MSI. In head to head test, the 420 ran just a bit slower than the KT266a boards...Every review seems to think it a good board.

If you aren't happy with having onboard video, they have a different version, the 415D, that is with onboard sound, but no onboard video...

Just got the board yesterday and it would'nt even boot into bios so it's RMA'd. After checking out the MSI forum it's seems I'm not the only one.

Be carefull.

I've decided to go with another board that I already have, a Matsonic MS8137C with 266a Chipset at least I know its rock solid but with far less features, but then again far cheaper.
