Came across this website in my travels:
www.colorcase.com (http://www.colorcase.com)

Anyone use these cases? I wonder if they're any good?

I don't know about the quality rowan, but some of them look pretty slick to me!

They are nice cases from the looks of it, but they also cost about twice as much, and you get killed by the shipping charges and sales tax.

I'm getting my case from Onvia.com, no S&H or sales tax.

I'm looking for case options. Something for my A7V. Maybe in a desktop to set my monitor on. Here's one I found. They've got all kinds, aluminum, and choices for power supplys. Anybody else run across some interesting cases? http://www.directron.com/cases---case-fans.html

Here's another one that's pretty interesting. All aluminum:

I have one of those cases that is on the colorcase website. I the products list it is "C14" and i have the purple one. I had bought the case from a local computer store with a 300W PS. I put a A7V in there with a DVD player and a CD-ROM in the 5 1/4" bays and one HD and a floppy. I like the case. Good amounts of room with decent air flow. One thing i like about it is that to remove the side panels, all i have to do is move two plastic tabs and slide the panel to the rear and it is off. No screws to mess with. It looks pretty good too.

I use the Antec Gemstone case, and I had to drill holes in the bottom of the front panel so that the front fan would work.

I like my case you cant believe how people have been drawn to it, Randy at Clearcase is adding more features we want, im still wondering if not being metal dissipates heat better, at this point I would say yes...(well it is ventilated well which adds to it)

great link, thekingofpain! I like that clear acryllic case better than any of the ones at colorcase.

Do you have any pics of your machine?

No its actually very cool, I believe it may be due to the non-metal case not retaining heat...

eeewwwwwwwww....yuck! Reminds me of Compaq, HP or the infamous Imac http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

I do like the clear case....although mine would get dusty QUICK.

Hmm, I would think that a metal case would act as a giant heat sink, which is why the coolermaster runs so **** cool.

It certainly looks like you have a lot of room in there though. Coupled with all the fans, the air probably moves around efficiently.

So the drives, mobo and power supply screw right into the acryllic?

Everything mounts like in a regular case, the m/b standoffs were threaded and installed, the only other odd thing is clear tubing spacers for the floppy drive to space it properly and cover the screws threads for looks, I paid alot of attention to the wireing and it is well out of the airstream the 4-92's provide, the addition to the newer cases he makes is a side blowhole over the v/c and processor area and a hindged side that would be appreciated...nice product...

Ive been trying to get one of the Coolermaster ATC310's for awhile, my local guy had a pallet of them but were gone instantly at 799$ apiece, says the demand for them is so high he cant get em for 6-8 weeks, got to see one, Coolermaster makes a killer case, no doubt...

Very nice indeed! Looks even better with stuff inside. I'm sure that thing gets some strange looks when folks see it.

You say that it runs hot?
