First off, here are my specs:

1.33 Amd t-bird
KG-7 mobo
40 gig IMB deskstar
gf2 GTS 32 ddr
350 watt psu
Win Xp pro

The problem is when i power off the computer, the next time i want to turn it on, it starts for like 3 seconds then stops.

I reset the switch behind, and try again. Same thing, turns on for 3 secs then shuts off.

Then i disconnect the HD, turn on, then it runs for about 6 secs, then shuts off.

Disconnect the HD and DVD (pionneer), turn on, and finally it goes to the post screen. So i hook every thing back, but it will now not boot again. I disconnect everything again, leave it running for 10 minutes on the post screen, then when i reconnect the HD and DVD it will reboot.

After that, the computer runs fine, i can restart without problems. Its only if i shut down the computer completly.

I'm guessing its the psu in this case, but i've heard of a WinXP reboot bug. Is there anything else to consider before getting the psu replaced?

Thanks in advance

I vote for PSU.

That sure does sound like a power regulation problem with the PSU. Try swapping that out & shopuld be fine.

Alright, the psu is still under warranty, so replacing it won't be a problem.

Thanks for the info

You're probably better off blowing off the warranty and upgrading to Enermax or Antec - 400W.
