Try removing the Startup application and use normal shortcuts instead. Open MSCONFIG.EXE and untick DirectCD and CDCreator. Reboot and then try both applications.
Honestly, I don't use any startup applications other than those I need - and I don't need many. I consider most of that stuff to be fluff.

Bill's suggestion is sound if your cdrw still works after you disable the startup program. I had a similar problem with an HP 8200 cdrw. If the start up program is not enabled Windows might not see the drive at all. It took several calls to HP tech support to get a software fix that was not available on thier public download site to get it to work, but it has been working flawlessly for three years now. Check first on the drive manufacture's site for an updated driver. You might also try a different burner software if you still can't get satisfaction.

Hi Ukulele,
This might sound a bit obvious but have you checked internet explorer for errors..
the 0E errors you are reporting sound more like IE errors rather than CD Creator..
Try a safe mode boot and a repair of IE first B4 removing your creator software.. I agree with the other replies here that auto starting progs can be a pain, 'specially for slowing down your system'.. and a clean boot works best.. that way if there are any errors it is usually easier to trsce as it happens as you start the new program

Open System Information (MSINFO32.EXE) and navigate to Hardware Resources > IRQs. Click anywhere in the right pane and then press CTRL-A and then CTRL-C. You have copied that data to the clipboard. Paste that data in a reply here.

You may be experiencing virtual memory problems
You didn't change the VM settings, did you?
Insert your OS cd in your cd-rom drive, browse it and click config.exe
This is called a OS refreshing. You wont loose any data or personnal files, just the OS definitions will be reset, along with some system files (including virtual memory management)
