I looked at over a dozen search engines for "file formats"

One has over 1500 ,, http://kresch.com/exts/ext.htm

NO LUCK

Did he try changing to ".txt"

That's worked for me..

AHAH, found something.
It seems that good old Adobe has invented YET another way to confuse us-->>

FDF FORMS DOCUMENT FORMAT
Adobe Forms Document
http://camalott.com/~rebma/filex/filexF.html

All this has someting to do with "WDB" programming , HUH ?
http://frcatel.utc.sk/wdb/node5.html

book.fdf-A Sample FDF to Save the Programmer the Work of Writing Query
Forms and Dynamic Pages

To use WDB, the developer builds a special file called the Form Definition File, or FDF, which describes the data. Rasmussen provides a tool, called mkfdf, which makes FDFs from the database schema. In the early release it is quite Sybase-specific; it may be easier to write the FDFs by hand than to adapt the tool to mSQL

WELL, Now I know even LESS than I did.

And you still DON'T know how to open the thing.. grrr

lotsa luck

It seems as if one must purchase a license to open fdf files, just great.. I still Hate Adobe,, now even MORE http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

Below is an example of a FDF File that the FDFMerge™
Quick and Easy Demo cgi created.

The text following /T is the name of the form field in the PDF Form.
The text following /V is the value of the field to be merged into the PDF Form

That's what this site is all about,
when one of us is able/feels like it, we help where our "expertise" allows us ..

You, on one hand are able to manipulate, repair, build, troubleshoot, overclock and operate computers http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Me, on the other hand can,, uh,,, I,, uh, uh

Well, I'm HERE anyway http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
