Hello,
Does anyone know a good source for information (online or a hard copy) on setting up filters to provide a firewall? Or references that just explain all this stuff?
My setup is two PCs connected to a NetGear RT314 Gateway Router which is connected to my cable modem. I am also running Zone Alarm Pro on both PCs with Internet Security set to High.
Everything is running just fine, but I did GRC's Security test, and my ports are either closed or stealth, but I would like to get them all to be in stealth mode. The documentation that came with the Router tells how to make the changes, but very little about how to design the filters themselves or how they should be applied.
I feel really stupid in this area, so I would really appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction.
