I am having trouble putting together my Mustek 1200 III EP parallel scanner with AMD Duron. Scanner is working perfect with Intels, but with Durons it "works", but when it scans images with most white aerias white is blue (ATTACH). Has anybody seen sauch anomaly????

I doubt that the CPU has anything to do with this. Bad installation, maybe.

try scanning with different a software package if you can; i'd guess either bad/corrupted drivers, etc. i have seen something like that before, except it made the white bright green. we never did get that problem fixed all the way....but reinstalling the drivers and the ODBC drivers helped........

I think I have it. The LPT port should be ECP for scanners, usually. Go into BIOS setup and change the LPT port to ECP if it's not already. If you're running Win2K or XP, go into Device Manager > Ports > LPT and Port Settings. Select "Use any interrupt assigned to this port".
