cpu AND sEtuP WIN98SE

i have a computer : CPU seleron 566, 64 MG RAM, 10 GByte HD, CDrom 40 x,ehen i setup win98 it make some problem: my conputer suspend (?),i try to change other source of Win98 but it still not complete, i set up more times it's OK (about 15 times).
I think my CPU wrong, my thought right ?
i want to change another CPU

It could be a number of things such as the motherboard, CPU, hard drive, modem, etc...

You don't mention if your computer is, say, a Compaq, or some other big name machine.
I've found sometimes that trying to install Win98 on one of these machines doesn't work unless you use the manufacturer's own installation disk. I don't know if perhaps it is, as Sterling_Aug says, something to do with the hardware - perhaps the big brand machines require strange hardware drivers?

I'm not sure, but that could be part of the problem.

Also, check to make sure that all your hardware is plugged in securely, especially your graphics card, as it might have come loose perhaps due to moving it or fan vibration.
