Heres one for ya..... I've got a DVD player on my computer and I've got a 3dfx voodoo3 3500tv agp card. What I want to do is watch the dvds on my tv. Now the 3500 card comes with the external pod with in and out rca jacks and a s-video jack. Problem is that my tv only has coax input -- no rca on back of tv. Does anyone know of a cable that can bring rca audio and video into one coaxial cable?? My dad is an electrician and he hasn't been able to do it so I'm welcome to any suggestions. Also, is it worth the hassle -- will the dvd movies look good through the card onto the tv?? I've tried hooking the rcas from the card to my vcr and then from the vcr to the tv, but the dvd picture faded in and out -- as if it had a copy protection and it knew that it was going through the vcr. Would I get the same problem going straight to the tv?

I do the same thing your trying to do but I use an ATI Rage AGP Video card.

When I am at school I use the VCR and I notice a little of the fade in and out problem. My video card software has some setttings for TV display and I monkeyed around with those a little and it seemed to help the fading in an out a bit. When I came home for Christmas I didn't bring the VCR(Brought the puter of course!) so I went to Radio Shack and bought and RF Modulator($30...price kinda suxx)that will convert your RCA to Coax. I don't see an of the fading problem with it when I use just the TV.

So give the RF Modulator a try and see if that helps. IF you still have the same problem with fading you should be able to return it.

Hope that helps

just to clarify the RF Modulator is a little black box with RCA and Coax jacks on the back. You plug in the cables and it into to the wall and it connverts the signal.

Does the composite cable mentioned in this thread help?

Can't help with the tv problem (I got lots of jacks) but I can answer your question "will the dvd movies look good through the card onto the tv??" I got a holywood Plus tv out card and the dvd's look really good on the tv! crisp, good color, & no jerkiness.
