I just dual booted WinXP Pro with my already existing Win2000 Pro. After tweaking XP and my card I ran 3dMark2001 and came out with a score of 7702.
previous best with Win2000 was a score of 6800....

Win2k always gets low 3dmark scores. It's a great OS for every day work and super stable, but it sucks for games. I've had nothing but problems. I dual boot with Windows 98 and use that for games. My 3dmark scores were 600 points higher in Win98 than in Win2k.

dmafe is right, but to be free of BSOD is absolute bliss.

BTW Xp would not play UnrealTournament, crashing, but win2k does, no problemo.

I wonder what the problem with Unreal Tournament is. I have it on running on XP with no problem.

I think it just didn't like my setup, full stop.CDR wouldn't work, had patches galore, geesh, what a waste of time.

I upgraded my old win2000pro to XP out of laziness. Maybe you should try that, Ammok, to see if XP behaves any better for you.

Thats a good point, i always reformat and clean install.
I will probably go XP when the SP1 comes out and I shall upgrade at that time. Chearsd Johnny.

I have WinXp Home edition on my Laptop (came with it) and WinXP on my main system (AMD 1800+, 512 RAM, GeForce4 ti4600, Soundblaster Live).
My laptop has had the same install for 6 months and runs like a champ, maybe 1 or 2 BSODs that didn't repeat themselves.
My main system has had a few more, but mainly because I load it to the hilt with junk. Since my last wipe and reinstall (To add my 80 gig RAID) it's been running smooth as ice.
I forget my last 3dMark score, but it was over 10k..
