ok watcha think? shotgun 2 cable modems would make a differance in hosting multiplayer games?

No since you dont have software to support 2 Cable Modems - and its a logistical nightmare- Just be thankful you're not on dial-up and dont get too greedy.
Im sure someone will try to do it, but I dont think they get more than a 50% improvement since you would have to split up the info, allow for a latency difference between the 2 modems, time the remux of the data so its seemless- wasting valuable clocks by hoping that either data stream didnt get lost in the cloud
this setup would be better on a DSL network as opposed to a Cable since a cable network is limited by the Node and each modem would be fight each other for faster transport speed there by slowing the node - I think, correct me if Im wrong- unless your cable service is capped, gettign most of the Node speed anyways. DSL is opposite and would work better if the DSLAM was setup to mux the data there by doubling your speed as ping times to the DSLAM as pretty consistant it would be preferable to do it muxing there as sending dual streams across the Net would render it almost useless with inconsistant latency times.
But I admire your thought and it gives me something New to try at work. "Oh poor Jeff's brain is going to be hurtin Monday" -Inside Joke- but this probably would not be cost effective, as its cheaper to upgrade your DSL service

BUT I did the research and its possable for wat im trying to do so i have orderd the second line and modem.AND no Im not greedy and dont need that kinda feed back! I used dial up for my first 2 years of online and gameing.There is no greed to wat im trying to do .........I WANT BIG rooms for muiltiplayer games on net for ME AND FRIENDS. DSL IS NOT A OPTION.number 1 it sucks and is much slower than my cable in this area.(i have 4 friends that got it thats how i know and the come here to lan partys and they even say it them selves)number 2 its not avaible in my area.I looked into a faster line too (like upgradeing) not available.. so im stuck to 2 cable modems 1 swithed hub two routers and a good server come this friday i will have many people in my room hosting dubble the people i was lag free.(BY THE WAY)GREED would be hacking the docsis cap on my modem getting all the speed i want and boging down my node! In stead im paying for another modem and doing some configing to acheive my goal.lol and theres no softwae to configure 2 modems to work (thats for those that dont know how to network or aka pc rookies and well i dont know it all but i know enough...................thanks for feed back though. (docsisslave) by the way i dont mean to sound rude in any of this but i just found the greedy part a little offencive. :)
