I'm thinking pretty hard about getting a PNY GeForce3 TI200 video card to replace my current ATI Xpert 2000. Anyone have any suggestions/comments about the GF3 card?
Thanx much!

Or you could wait until the GF4 Ti4200 model becomes available.... Not as fast as the Ti4400 or 4600... But should still outperform the GF3 card. -Ramon NDD 05-02-2002, 08:21 PM Another vote there for Ti4200. It shouldn't cost much more then Ti200 and it will deliver much greater performance. As for itself, Ti200 isn't bad at all :) , I have it now paired with 1GHz Athlon and I'm very pleased, 1024x768x32 with level 2 aniso maxed out in (almost) every game I play. Jimstep 05-03-2002, 11:37 PM I agree with ND. The G3Ti200 is a great card, but nVidia is getting ready to release the G4Ti4200 that is showing some real promise at a great price. Anyone have any suggestions/comments about the GF3 card? Thanx much! Youll be dissapointed.. it's got texture problems.... and a few other dissapointments that haven';t been fix according to a few of my buddy's who own the Gforce III card. I heard the Gforce Ti4200 to come is the card to get but all the the Ti's cannot compete with the Radeon8500 275/550 64meg retail or the 300/300 128meg to come with 16x aniso. This card runs really smooth with the most eye candy with 16x Aniso without a frame hit! The GforcesTi 's cannot match the 8500 with Aniso on full! I keep mentioning this because it's very important to me in games to have detailed textures and floors at a distance...and still play smooth ... DID I mention DVD!!!! ATI wins hands down..... Did I mention cheaper price!!!!!!!!!!! ATI wins again..... Did I mention I've owned all the cards and the ATI 8500 Retail is back in my PC! rlemieux 05-04-2002, 02:16 AM The Geforce 4 Ti 4200 is the way to go. It will overclock to TI4400 speeds. And will outperform the ATI cards from the peliminarys I have seen on it. And the Ti4400's and 4600's win hands down over ATI. If you are still interested in the PNY Geforce 3 Ti200. I have mine overclocked to 215/230 and my 3D Mark2001SE score is 8670. Could possibly go a bit higher. I am fixing to get a Leadtek Geforce 4 Ti4600 though, just cause I have a need for speed. CPU/mobo/ram etc. DABSON!~ 05-04-2002, 12:07 PM NOT a chance..a Ti 500 doesn't even beat it ..... Use 16x Aniso and you'll see...... rlemieux 05-04-2002, 12:09 PM Originally posted by DABSON!~ NOT a chance..a Ti 500 doesn't even beat it ..... Use 16x Aniso and you'll see......
