DemonKnight 01-03-2001, 06:02 PM What splash screen? I aint seen one in IE but netscape and Neoplanet have them. NDC 01-03-2001, 06:20 PM My IE5 doesn't have a splash screen. The only time I've seen it is the first time I ran IE5 after installation.. AMD kicks 01-03-2001, 08:16 PM I just saw the splash screen on my IE5.5 but it flys by very fast. SPARKI1 01-04-2001, 01:59 AM My work place have just upgraded to win NT svpack 6a (i think?) with this upgrade to the workstations they have upgraded IE4 to IE5 but it is very slow to open on these old machines and a splash screen is displayed. I would like to try and save a bit of time by telling it not to display it but i can not find anything. Steve R Jones 01-04-2001, 05:46 AM This will hide the OE splash screen. Tweaking Toolbox for Windows Here's some of the things it will do: Customise IE title bar text Customise OE title bar text Change the location where OE stores it's data files Show/hide OE splash screen http://www.rosecitysoftware.com/TweakingToolbox_for_Windows/ The trial version has limited capibilities. NDC 01-04-2001, 05:48 AM That's so strange, or my systems are. I use IE5 on my Win2K boxes and the only time I get the splash screen is the first time I set up a new connection or something. Otherwise, I never get that splash screen. I just get it once.... BFlurie 01-04-2001, 08:47 AM NDC, it's possible that a branded version of IE might show it, while a generic version won't. Or I might be way off-base. NDC 01-04-2001, 08:50 AM Hmmmmmm, the version I'm using is the version that installs with Win2K... SPARKI1 01-04-2001, 09:00 AM The upgarde that these computers have had is a test for a european wide upgrade. of a few thousand machines so i think you might be right BFlurie. The "Tweaking Toolbox" didnt help and i cant find anything in the registry or anything on any 'tweaking' site's. But there must be an option somewhere for it. SysOpt.com
