I have a SoundBlaster Audigy and I am running Windows XP Professional, most of my games run, I either downloaded patches, etc. but there are some old DOS games I want to run, now they work but I can't get any sound, or if i do it is really sad or from the PC speaker(which is even worse). I know this is because I don't have DOS drivers and like the SoundBlaster Live it doesn't usu regular IRQ's, etc. so most DOS games don't see it as a sound card. Do you know any way to get sound short of installing Windows 9.x.

Unfortunately, no. You need SB emulation (8-bit) for those games and WinNT/2K/XP don't support it. Sorry. :(

Welcome, smelanson,

I don't want to step on your thread, but I noticed the same thing. IRQ conflicts. I'm sure someone here can help you. I just havent figured it out yet.

EDIT:

Wow Bill you are fast.
