Athlon 1000 or Duron 1.3

Which processor would be the faster one? They are the same price. Also, what is the "morgan" core that is in the duron? I have a duron 800, would going to a duron 1.3 be noticable?

That upgrade will be borderline. You will see a difference in frame rate if your a gamer, depending on what kind of video card you have.

Duron 1.3GHz will be faster then Athlon 1GHz. And the "Morgan" core of Duron is the same as "Palomino" for AthlonXP, added SSE SIMD instructions as of PIII plus 20% less power consumption.
And yes, this upgrade gonna be quite noticeable :)

I would go for the Duron 1.3, although it has less cache it will make uo and pass with it's more MHZ and newer core and features.

What does "plus 20% power consumption" mean? Does it draw more or less power?
