I built a new computer. Every time I shut my computer completly off and let it sit for a while then turn it on again, I get an "unamountable-boot-volume" error. Then I reset my computer. When it ask if I want safe-mode, last known good boot or start normal, I chose normal. The computer boots ok then. My Sys is an ECS Eletegroup K75S5A, CPU AMD Athlon XP 1700, Video card GeForce$ MX 420 64 Meg XTASY, Sound Blaster Card and a V.92 modem. The OS is Windows XP, I have down loaded all patches from windows to date. This Problem does not occure if I re-start computer, only when I shut it off. In addition to this my CPU is only running at 1100 vice 1700 which it was designed for and the mother board was designed for Athlon XP chip.

Thanks, I got it fixed. CPU PnP setup changed to 133/133 mhz. CPU now runa 1700+ as advertised.

Firstly. your XP1700+ will NEVER run at 1700MHz withut OC'ing. It's standart frequency is 1466MHz.
Secondly, you are running at 1100MHz, because your FSB is 100MHz (200MHz data rate).
Check for BIOS settings and/or jumpers that will allow you to run your system at 133MHz FSB (266MHz data rate), and everything will be OK.

I had a similar problem with my k7s5a baord and a XP 1700+ CPU. I fixed the problem by running the case fan directly off the power supply instead of the motherboard.

What kind of power supply do you have? I'm thinking of upgrading from my 300 watt to something a bit bigger.
