The Sound Blaster Live Platinum version has inputs for equipment and has a 5.25 bay panel for inputting equipment. It is really the best sound card around (sound blaster live line).

I agree, I have the Platinum and would have to say the digital, analog, 1/4" headphone and MIDI connections on the Live Drive would be well suited for any musician.

hmm...thats what i was thinking too, but i thought it was kinda strange that there arent any other good sound cards on the market. thought that i would get recommended to maybe something else, but i guess not.

thanks again!

Actually there are quite a few great soundcards. Some with signal to noise ratio's that are quiter than the blood running though your ears. Unfortunatly the best ones arn't cheap.

If your not into games, a cheap bet would be the Sound Blaster 128. It's more of a music card than a gamming card.

Here's a link to a site that rates cards. (http://www.pcavtech.com/soundcards/compare/index.htm)

Now I can vouch for the Card Deluxe. Great sound!! But you need to be seated when you see the price on this baby!

Phillips are also just comming out with a line of soundcards. I've only read one review in hummmm......... Maxim PC but it was rated right up there.
